Dr. Akil Palanisamy

MD is a Harvard-trained physician who practices integrative medicine, incorporating the best of conventional medicine and alternative therapies. Dr. Akil, a holistic doctor, completed his premedical training in biochemistry at Harvard University, received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed his residency in family medicine at Stanford University. He also completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona, and is certified by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine at Georgetown University.

Mary Thompson

A founding member and former Secretary of the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine, Mary Thompson , C.A.S., P.K.S., (Ayurvedacharya), graduated from the first graduating class of the California College of Ayurveda in 1997 and now is a senior teacher there.

She is a Certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Pancha Karma Specialist.

She is a recipient of the Charaka Award for Excellence in Ayurvedic Teaching and has been given the title of "Ayurvedacharya" (respected teacher of Ayurveda). She is also the founder of the non-profit organization, Everyday Ayurveda.

Marisa Laursen

Marisa is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, a Professor of Ayurveda at the Calfornia College of Ayurveda, a Panchakarma Specialist, a Sivananda Certified Yoga Teacher, and a Spiritual Guidance Coach. She received her certification from the American Institue of Vedic Studies and completed her postgraduate study in Ayurveda with Dr. Geetha S.R. of the Sree Sankara Ayurveda Hospital in Kerala, India. She is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton, California. Todd Caldecott is a medical herbalist and practitioner of Ayurveda, in practice since 1995. He is the Executive Director of the Dogwood School of Botanical Medicine, and author/editor of three books including Ayurveda: The Divine Science of Life, Food As Medicine, and Ayurveda In Nepal.
